MD Environmental was appointed to carry out specialist environmental works within a live FedEx distribution facility in Warrington, delivering high-level cleaning and treatment works while the warehouse remained fully operational.

The Challenge
Unlike traditional asbestos removal projects, this programme focused on specialist environmental cleaning and the treatment of inaccessible areas throughout the warehouse structure.
The challenge wasn’t only the high-level working environment—it was carrying out the works safely while one of the UK’s busiest distribution facilities continued operating around the team.
With constant vehicle movements, loading bays in operation and warehouse staff working throughout the building, every stage had to be carefully coordinated to maintain productivity while protecting everyone on site.

Using specialist access equipment, operatives completed high-level cleaning of structural steelwork and internal surfaces before carrying out the sealing and treatment of non-accessible areas across the warehouse.
Clearly segregated working zones, ongoing communication with site management and detailed planning ensured the works progressed efficiently without impacting the client’s daily logistics operation.
