External Asbestos Removal Works – Essex Car Manufacturer
The Challenge
Following initial rapid response works to protect and seal a floor area, MD Environmental was instructed to deliver the next phase of asbestos removal works at a major car manufacturing site in Essex.
The scope involved the removal of amosite slurry and contaminated ground across an external area of approximately 120sqm, within an operational industrial environment.
Working within a live site required careful planning to ensure surrounding areas remained protected, with strict controls in place to prevent disruption to ongoing operations.
Our Solution
The MD Environmental team implemented a fully controlled approach to safely manage the removal of contaminated materials.
Key elements of the works included:
- Controlled removal of amosite slurry and contaminated ground
- Segregation of the work area to protect surrounding operations
- Careful planning and phased delivery following initial response works
- Strict control measures maintained throughout the project
The success of Phase 1 enabled a smooth and efficient transition into this stage, ensuring works could be completed safely and without unnecessary disruption.
The Result
The external removal works were completed safely and efficiently, with all contaminated materials removed under controlled conditions and the surrounding operational environment fully protected.
This project highlights the importance of early intervention and structured project phasing, allowing complex asbestos works to be delivered seamlessly within live industrial settings.
Another strong delivery by the MD Environmental team.
